The Urbanism Week 2011 will be concluded with a grand finale! On Thursday and Friday the 29th and 30th of September we organize The Symposium, mainly focused on professionals and academics. This international symposium is full of fascinating speakers such as: Alfredo Brillembourg, Edward Soja, Hubert Habib, Nathalie de Vries, Maarten Hajer & Adriaan Geuze.
On both days moderator Bart Cosijn will setup critical and profound debates between our keynote speakers and Urbanism professors of the Delft University of Technology such as Henco Bekkering, Maurits de Hoog and Vincent Nadin. On Thursday the theme of our debate will be ‘Crisis and beyond, the continuous state of change’ and we will dive into the challenges of an ongoing (economic) crisis. On Friday we will debate on the social urbanist within the theme ‘Society & space: Rediscovering the human form’.
Location of this international symposium will be the beautiful Orange Room of the Faculty of Architecture TU Delft, winner of the EU Prize for Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Awards 2011. Decor will be the Why Factory tribune by MVRDV, winner of the Lensvelt 2009 interior award.
Tickets are now available for the ‘early-bird’ price of € 120 (instead of € 150). This includes a reserved seat, drinks, buffet and the Urbanism Week publication. For companies or municipalities we offer special package deals, now 5 tickets for € 500 (33% discount). Please register by this link.
